Dal3 Kershak — User Guide

The group food-order coordinator for the office. One person opens a room for a restaurant, everyone else joins and adds their own order, and the app works out who owes what — delivery fee included.

Sign in — or skip straight in as a guest

Everyone

Every room starts at the login screen. There's no password anywhere in the app — you either get a one-time code by email, or you continue as a temporary guest.

  1. 1

To create rooms you'll come back to, sign in with email.

Type your name and الإيميل (Email), then tap إبعت الرمز ("Send the code"). Name is only asked once — after that Dal3 Kershak remembers it for your email.

  2. 2

Check your inbox for an 8-digit code.

Enter it under الكود (Code) and tap تأكيد ("Confirm"). Used the wrong address? استخدم إيميل تاني ("Use another email") starts over.

  3. 3

In a hurry? Use the guest card instead.

Under كمّل كضيف ("Continue as guest"), type just a display name and tap الدخول كضيف ("Enter as guest") — no email, no account.

Guest names are temporary. They disappear once you close the app on that device — unless you arrived from a room link, in which case reopening that link drops you straight back in. Sign in with email if you want your rooms saved under غرفي ("My Rooms").
02

Get into a room

There are two doors into a room, depending on whether someone already opened one for your restaurant, or you're the one opening it.

Join a room

Everyone
  1. 1

Open the link or scan the QR code someone shares — it drops you straight onto the join screen with the code already filled in.

  2. 2

No link? Go to ادخل بالكود ("Enter with a code") and type the 6-character كود الدخول (join code) yourself — upper and lower case both work.

  3. 3

Add your name and tap ادخل الأوضة ("Enter the room"). You land in the room with an empty cart, ready to order.

Create a room

Host only
  1. 1

From ابدأ أوضة طلب ("Start an order room"), pick a restaurant from the catalog — one room always belongs to exactly one restaurant.

  2. 2

Set the رسوم التوصيل (delivery fee) and how to split it: بالتساوي بين كل الأعضاء (equally) or على نسبة طلب كل شخص (by each person's share of the bill).

  3. 3

Tap إنشاء الغرفة ("Create room"). Dal3 Kershak generates a join code and takes you straight to the room, as host.

  4. 4

Restaurant not in the catalog? Pick مطعم تاني (مش موجود في الأبلكيشن) ("Another restaurant, not in the app") instead and type its name under اسم المطعم (Restaurant name). The room works exactly the same way from here — see Build your order for the one difference: there's no preset menu, so everyone prices their own items.

Build your order

Everyone

Two menus work together here: the restaurant's own photographed menu for browsing real prices and details, then the app's own menu below it for actually building your order. Every item starts at zero — tap once to add it, then a stepper takes over for the quantity.

Look before you order. Above the order form, منيو المطعم الأصلي (the restaurant's own menu) shows real photos of their printed menu board. Tap a thumbnail to open it full-screen, swipe left or right for more pages, and pinch or double-tap to zoom in on a price or a dish you can't quite read. It's for reference only — this is where you check what an item actually is and what it costs, not where you order it. Tap ✕ at the top right to close it, then add items from the app's own menu below.
  1. 1

    Browse or search.

Flip through category chips, or use بحث في القائمة (menu search) to jump straight to a dish.

  2. 2

    Add an item.

Tap إضافة ("Add") once — it's replaced by −/+ buttons for the quantity, saved instantly as you tap.

  3. 3

Add notes, or star a favorite.

Each item you've added gets a ملاحظات (notes) box — "no onions", spice level, whatever the kitchen needs to know. Tap the star to save an item to ضيف للمفضلة (favorites) for next time.

Your cart is private. Nobody — not even the host — can see what's in it while you're still building it. It only becomes visible once you submit it.

Ordering from a restaurant that’s not in the catalog

If the host picked مطعم تاني (مش موجود في الأبلكيشن) (Another restaurant, not in the app) when creating the room, there’s no preset menu here — everyone types their own items, prices, and quantities directly.

  1. 1

Type the item exactly the way it’ll be typed every time.

The naming instructions on screen spell it out: keep the wording consistent (سندوتش شاورما فراخ every time, not sometimes شاورما فراخ), fold size or type into the name when it matters, and put special requests in the notes field instead.

  2. 2

Set your own price and quantity.

There’s no catalog price to fall back on — type the السعر (price) and العدد (quantity) yourself, then tap إضافة الصنف ("Add item").

  3. 3

Ordering the same thing as someone else? Reuse their exact wording.

Chips under مُضاف قبل كده في الأوضة ("Already added in this room") list every item name already used — tap one to fill it in instead of retyping it, so it lands on the same line as theirs.

Everyone prices their own copy. Two people can add the same dish and type different prices for it — the app doesn’t force one price per item. It only merges the name so the order summary reads cleanly; each person’s own price still counts toward their own total.
04

Submit, edit, and repeat orders

Everyone

Adding items to your cart doesn't tell anyone else yet — submitting is the step that does.

  1. 1

Tap تأكيد الطلب ("Submit order") once your cart has something in it.

Your order becomes visible to the host, and counts toward the room's bill.

  2. 2

Changed your mind? Tap تعديل الطلب ("Edit order").

This reopens your cart — as long as the host hasn't locked the room yet.

  3. 3

Ordered from this restaurant before? Look for the repeat banner.

It reads طلبت {'{'}عدد{'}'} صنف آخر مرة من هنا ("You ordered N items last time from here") — tap كرر الطلب ("Repeat it") to refill your cart in one tap, then adjust anything before submitting.

Room locked? A locked room shows الغرفة مقفولة، مش ممكن تعدّل الطلب دلوقتي ("Room's locked, no edits right now") — anything you already submitted still counts, you just can't change it.
05

Run the room

Host only

The room page is the host's dashboard — who's ordered, what the bill comes to, and the tools to close it out and call it in.

  1. 1

    Share the room.

The كود الغرفة (room code), a join link, and a scannable QR code are all right there — send whichever's easiest.

  2. 2

Watch it fill in — live.

Each name in المشاركين (Participants) flips to a طلب ("Ordered") badge the moment they submit. No refresh needed.

  3. 3

    Check ملخص الطلب (Order summary).

Every submitted item, combined across the whole room, with quantities and a running subtotal — read straight off the screen when you call the order in.

  4. 4

    Lock it when it's time.

قفل الغرفة (وقف الطلبات) ("Lock the room") stops new items room-wide the instant you tap it — nothing already submitted is touched.

Three copy buttons, three jobs. نسخ الطلب (للمطعم) copies the combined order to read to the restaurant; نسخ إجمالي حسابي copies just your own total; نسخ حساب الكل copies everyone's totals, for the group chat.

Mark who paid

Someone always fronts the money for the restaurant before everyone else settles up. The host records who, so the app can point the rest of the room at the right person.

  1. 1

Open مين اللي دفع للمطعم؟ ("Who paid the restaurant?").

Pick whoever handed over the cash or paid the delivery rider from the dropdown of participants — or leave it at لسه مش محدد (Not set yet) until someone actually has.

  2. 2

Everyone else sees a pay-back banner.

The room page shows {name} دفع للمطعم — ردّ له حصتك ("{name} paid the restaurant — pay them back your share") to every participant except the one who paid.

Your room history

Everyone

غرفي ("My Rooms") lists every room you've hosted or joined — useful for finding an old total, or seeing which restaurant your team orders from most.

  1. 1

Filter by role, restaurant, or date.

Switch between الكل (all), فتحتها (hosted), and دخلتها (joined), or narrow by restaurant and time range.

  2. 2

See your total at a glance.

Each room card shows the item count and نصيبك ("your share") without opening it.

Install it on your phone

Everyone

Dal3 Kershak is a web app you can pin to your home screen like a native one — handy since most ordering happens from your phone at your desk.

  1. 1

    Android & desktop Chrome/Edge

An install banner appears on its own — tap it, confirm, and the icon lands on your home screen or app list.

  2. 2

    iPhone (Safari)

iOS doesn't offer an automatic prompt. Tap the Share icon, then Add to Home Screen.

Good to know

Does Dal3 Kershak handle payments?

No — never. It only calculates who owes what, including everyone's share of the delivery fee. Settling up (cash, transfer, whatever your team uses) happens outside the app entirely.

Can the host edit my order for me?

Only after you've submitted it — and only that order, never a still-private draft. While you're building your cart, it's invisible to everyone else, host included.

I forgot to add something before the room locked. Now what?

Ask the host — قفل الغرفة can be reopened with فتح الغرفة تاني ("Unlock the room again") just as easily as it was locked, as long as the order hasn't already been called in.

What's the difference between equal and proportional delivery splitting?

Equal splits the delivery fee evenly across everyone who ordered, regardless of order size. Proportional gives each person a share sized to how much of the total bill their own order makes up. The host picks one when creating the room.

Can I use the app in English?

Yes — tap English next to the Arabic toggle in the header, on any screen. The app is Arabic-first (right-to-left) by default since that's how most of the team uses it.

Can I order straight from the restaurant's menu photos?

No — those photos are for browsing only. Zoom in on one to check a price or an ingredient, then close it with the ✕ and add the item from the app's own menu underneath. The photos never add anything to your cart by themselves.

What if the restaurant isn’t in Dal3 Kershak’s catalog?

The host picks مطعم تاني (مش موجود في الأبلكيشن) (Another restaurant, not in the app) when creating the room and types its name — that becomes a one-off restaurant just for this room. Ordering works the same as usual, except there’s no preset menu: everyone types their own item names, prices, and quantities. See Build your order for the naming rules that keep matching items lined up correctly.

How do I know who to pay back?

The host marks who fronted the money under مين اللي دفع للمطعم؟ ("Who paid the restaurant?") on the room page. Once they do, everyone else in the room sees a banner naming that person — pay them your share the same way your team always settles up outside the app.
